I have been delayed ...

Today, we have been delayed by a shipping company which I think is currently running a silence campaign. A week ago, we had confirmed a date and time for our personal effects to be picked up today. TO-DAY. And today, as daunting as you could ever imagined, we have waited up up to 3 hours..no signs of them. And so DH made that one phone call.

"So what did they say?"

"They're a little bit short on staff. But say they'll give a call to let us know .."

1/2 an hr later no return calls whatsoever. DH made that call for a second time, and this time, promised to get back to us in order to re-confirm pick up. And again, after a good 1/2 an hour, the phone didn't ring..1,2 hours passed and still no call. None.I was beginning to feel it was a bit too much. This dilly-dally has caused me in cancelling a meeting with Dr_Supervisor, whom have only Wednesday and Thursday to spare me with. Our 3rd call was fruitless - no confirmation but loads of promises. But later still silence.

Knackered from all that, at 8 pm we finally called it off. Due to this unfortunate event, my work has been delayed! Now I have to rearrange a meeting with Dr_Supervisor and at the same time work my way round with the time to get the house sorted out!

And I am no superwoman. My eye bags are turning black like Panda of China Mainland. And my skin, very dehydrated as if I am living in the Sahara dessert.

God Help me...
